Quick Actions
A quick note. Right where you work.
Jot down a thought, make a to-do, or find a recent note from the edge of your screen. Keep it pinned above your apps, then get back to what you were doing.

Find a node from across your saved work.
Write and save a note from the compact panel.
Reopen one of up to four recent nodes as a pop-out.
Less ceremony
Capture first. Decide where it belongs later.
Quick Actions is for the awkward middle of work: the moment when something is useful enough to keep but not important enough to derail what you are already doing.
Write the thought while it is still clear
Open New note, give the idea as much context as it needs, and click away to save it. Choose Keep when you want the note to pop out, pinned above your other windows. You can carry on without losing what you wrote.
Return to what you just touched
Recent nodes shows up to four nodes you updated most recently. Choose one and it opens in its own Popout window beside the app you are using. Text notes stay editable there.

Drop useful material straight onto the rail
Quick Actions accepts files, links, and text. Drag something over, drop it, and Popout keeps it as a node. There is no folder decision required at the moment of capture.
Put the rail where your screen has room
Keep it on the left edge, right edge, or along the bottom. It stays above ordinary windows and remains available across desktop workspaces; you can also turn it off in Appearance settings. Option + H on Mac (Alt + H on Windows) hides or brings back the rail and your open notes together. You can change this shortcut in Settings.
Quick Actions does not try to become another dashboard. It is a short path into the Popout you already have.
