Pop-out windows
A note is more useful when you can actually see it. Pop a Popout node into its own window, place it beside another app, and pin it on top for as long as the work needs it.

Give a saved node a focused window of its own.
Move and resize it around the work on your screen.
Pin or unpin the window whenever the context changes.
Text notes remain editable in their pop-out windows.
Context that stays put
Pop-outs let one piece of Popout live beside the app where it is useful. Close the window when you are finished; the node remains saved in Popout.
Use Pop out from a node’s actions on Home or inside a visual space. Notes, images, links, media, and other saved material can use the same focused desktop treatment when the node supports it.
Put a checklist beside a browser, a visual reference beside a design tool, or a note beside the document you are drafting. The pop-out is a normal movable, resizable window, not a fixed sidebar.
Pop-outs are kept on top by default. Turn off Keep window on top when you want ordinary window behavior. Pinning the desktop window is separate from adding a node to Home’s In focus shelf.
A text note remains editable in its pop-out. If the node belongs to a visual space, you can return to that canvas from the window when you need the surrounding context again.
The best always-on-top note is the one you can dismiss. Popout keeps pop-outs on top by default and lets you unpin them whenever you want.
Pop-outs and always-on-top window controls are part of the core Popout experience. Available for Mac and Windows.
